You can go on great outdoor weekends pulling a trailer tent for free overnight accomodation and take the Trooper where it really comes to life: up and down the hills. The motorway ride is unbelievably comfortable for an offroader which weighs 2600 kilos. On Monday you just drive through a car wash and the Trooper is as tame as a Micra. My Trooper is a Duty, one model up from the base, with which you get all the accessories and electric gadgets you can squeeze your brain to imagine. I have noticed some road noise on fast roads and motorways. The steel wheels do not look as nice as the alloys, but they do the job and can be purchased at the time of buying as an optional extra to the TD S model. One thing to note, the steel wheels have a small black plastic wheel nut cover on them which tends not to stay on them for too long, surprizing as the car is an off road vehicle and I have lost mine on road. I have replaced 3 to date and at around £12 each it's probally worth considering the alloy option for this reason. I have just decided to leave the covers all off. I have noticed that the window struts on the windscreen are very wide and do give a blind spot when pulling out from a junction, particularly looking to the left.
