Here for sale is a 2000 Xreg Isuzu Bighorn(Trooper) lwb 7 seater,Its the 3.0 diesel intercooler.Its metallic green over champagne with beige cloth seats.
I am not a car dealer just a hoarder and for some strange reason i took this in part exchange last week and have not use or need for it whatsoever!The guy i got it off was quite upfront with its known faults they are as follows.Blue smokes on start up and wont rev until engine has warmed up.That was confirmed this morning on start up,its not oil smoke its unburnt diesel and looking at forums it looks like its leaking injector seals,readily available on here!A common problem.The reason it will not rev until warm is either linked to this or as lots seem to say the oil pressure sensor which sends a signal to the injectors.The owner purchased this(£140) but never fitted it,this will be with the car and its a genuine part new in the bag,others say it could have the wrong oil in which can cause all kinds of problems with sensors
I gave it 5 minutes to warm up and it drove fine and the smoke soon cleared and ran clean and pulled really well.During this warm up period it runs a little rought but doesnt sound likes its missing just a little choked!
He also said it needed 2 cv boots for the MOT which are also included but not fitted!
There are quite a few deep scratches that have been touched up on the bonnet and front wings,i have taken pictures of these to show,also a rust patch on the n/s/f wing and tailgate.
Its showing 183,000 on the clock but he told me the odo is still in kms and the speedo has had a cover put on to convert to mph.That would mean its done 114,000 miles. I cannot and will not guarantee this.The leather has peeled off the steering wheel and this is usually a good indication.
It has 4 good BFG tyres on with alloys the spare is bald and flat.
The engine is bone dry and does not looked to of been messed with in any way.
Should be a easy fix,or if youre not picky can be used as is as the previous owner has used it.
Tax until the end of May, mot ran out when it was delivered on the 18th feb.
Brake warning light on dash,no other warnings engine management etc!
Fitted with a digital compass!
Selling as spares or repairs if it doesnt sell my son has already called dibs on it to use on my friends farm(8 years old!!!)

The rear dickie seats have been removed by the previous owner and he will drop them off this week-hopefully i will get chance to fit them

We have just taken this for a drive round the farm and the car cranked for about 15 seconds before starting then it smokes like mad-This really stings your eyes so im 95% sure this is a faulty injector.The o rings and copper washers are less than £10 but it may need an injector
I would love a Dahiatsu Fourtrak independant or similar diesel 4x4 must be manual for my son to learn in
I have used the car all day today on various farm duties.It started after approx 7 seconds did its usual smoke trick for a few minutes and as i drove off it cleared and has run clean all day-i even left it ticking over for over an hour and the temp never moved from normal.
There are no signs of it been messed with,no unsightly hylomar or instant gasket.
The rear seats havent turned up yet but i will remind him over the next day or two.
The log book was sent off at the weekend so it may or may not be back.
The brake light on the dash is now out-it was just a little low in the reservoir.
I thought there would be more interest than this-Looks like i may be testing it for myself

I have recieved one of the seats so far.I have to collect a book which he says contains service stamps.
I took it for the mot and it failed on the outer cv boots,rear brake pipe corroded,n/s/r and o/s/r handbrake needs adjusting and exhaust emissions too high-This is because the car was left over night and it smoked its t#ts off when he started it.He did not connect it to the machine this was just his observations!You can possibly access the failure shhet via vosa?
